Sliding

How is it done?

Apply the BellaBambi® vacuum cup and move it over the skin. The use of BellaBambi® cupping oil is recommended so that the silicone suction cup glides smoothly over the skin.

Who should do it?

Athletes who need to activate and people who need to relax (see below: What happens when you do this?)

What happens?

Toning application: Move the BellaBambi® cup over the skin at high speed. Recommended before sport to increase muscle tension (fast, intensive stroking movements). Comparable to the traditional Gua Sha technique.

Detonizing application: Slowly move the vacuum cup over the skin. Ideal for relaxation and regeneration after stress in sports and everyday life. To stretch the tissue and reduce muscle tension, it is best to pull the cup in slow strokes or circles.

Fascial layers can be lifted and shifted against each other. Adhesion and tension can be released and pain and restricted mobility can be improved. Sliding is used for general mobilization and to stimulate the lymph flow and blood circulation.

Typical exercises with Sliding

Stretch your leg out in front of you (you can use a chair or stool for better
balance). Place the cup sucked in on the inside of your thigh, laterally above the knee. Slowly pull the cup up to your hips in several strokes. Then work on the other leg.

For this exercise we recommend:

Place the cup of your choice on the side above the knee and let it suck in. Pull it over the skin up to the hip. Repeat this a few times until you have covered the entire thigh. Then switch legs.

Tip: Sliding at high speed has a toning effect and is recommended before a workout to increase muscle tension.
Slow movements, on the other hand, have a detonating effect. Use large, less intense cups, which are ideal for relaxation and regeneration.

For this exercise we recommend:

BellaBambi® maxi solo (SENSITIVE / REGULAR)

Kneel on the floor; get a yoga mat or a blanket to cushion your knees. Place one cup on each thigh above the knee. Pull the cups evenly and slowly up to your hips. Repeat this 5-10 times until you have covered the entire top of your thighs.

For this exercise we recommend:

Stand upright or lie on your back. Place the cup of your choice on your stomach and pull it in a zigzag line towards your chest. Repeat this about 3 times on one side, then switch to the other.

BellaBambi® maxi solo (SENSITIVE / REGULAR)

For better sliding, apply a drop of massage oil to the peeling edge of the cup. Place the cup on your collarbone with suction and gently move it around your collarbone in circles, from the inside to the outside. 5-6 repetitions are enough, then change sides.

Cupping oil lavender

Place two BellaBambi® mini solo of the same intensity on the centre of the forehead and gently pull them apart. Start at the top and make several strokes until you have covered the entire forehead.

Tip: You can also work with just one cup by fixating one half of the forehead with one hand and moving the cup with the other. Always slide the cup from the inside to the outside.

Note: Avoid the eye area, as the skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive.
