Expanding

How is it done?

Pre-stretch the area where the cup is to be placed using a classic stretching exercise. Place the cup and hold the stretch to increase the local stretch.

Tip: If it is not possible to place the cup firmly in the stretched position, you can place the cup first and then go into the stretched position.

What happens?

Structural shortening, especially in the back and neck area, can benefit from this technique. Expanding is also good for mental tension.

Typical exercises with Expanding

It is best to have another person with you to help you reach difficult areas. Sit up straight and let your head fall to the side. Place a cup of your choice on the stretched area on your neck and slowly slide the cup down from your neck to your shoulder blade or shoulder joint. Slide it a few times before switching to the other side.

For this exercise we recommend:

Stand or sit upright. Raise your left hand, place it on your right temple and let your head fall to the left side. Place a cup of your choice on the stretched area of the neck. Hold the stretch for 10-15 seconds, then repeat on the other side.
